Fiber
The current version of the weight watchers point system limits fiber "credit" to 4 grams. I don't like that. The old system, which did not limit the fiber "credit" may have resulted in abuse, but I like eating super high-fiber foods...and I like a system that is biased toward more fiber versus just fewer calories. Still thinking about it, but I may go with the old way of counting points. It worked great for me before. Why should I change? Plus, at my age, I have my colon to think of.

I agree.
I second the argument - it worked for me before. I also feel like they keep tweaking their program/formula so re-registrants feel like they are getting something new.
I - as your Weight Watchers authority and partner - hereby grant you rights to employ the old fiber-rewarding system.
...and me too!
I third it. Is the excel spread sheet based on the new or old calculations?
I am sure that somewhere it breaks down, but I don't think most people eat enough fiber to abuse it.
Plus under the new system my hummus is not the miracle food it used to be.
Also, I think the old system accounted more for the qualitative difference one experiences between eating whole wheat or whole grain pastas and refined pastas.
